Robert Wilson Biography

Robert Wilson began his Scouting career as a Cub Scout and then a Boy Scout. He has been a Scouter since 2001 and currently serves as the Chattanooga District Scouting Coordinator for the United Methodist Church and  the Chartered Organization Representative for Burks United Methodist Church, Hixson, TN

Robert has served as a Den Leader, Pack Committee Chair, Troop Committee Member, an Instructor and Dean of the Cub Scout College for the council's University of Scouting; as a member of the national Cub Scout Program Helps Task Force; Mountain District Chairman; as Day Camp Director; as District Membership Chairman;  Cub & Partner Director; Advancement Day Director; on Roundtable staff; and Training Committee staff. He served on the United Methodist Church's staff in the National Exhibits area at the 2010 Jamboree. He is a Brotherhood member of the Talidandaganu Lodge. He has received the District Award of Merit and the Silver Torch from the United Methodist Church. He has earned his Doctorate at the Univeristy of Scouting.

Robert has attended National Camp School for Cub Scout Day Camp and at Philmont, he trained on how to manage council and district training events (2005) and participated in the Program Helps Program Enrichment Workshop (2008).

He is an Owl from Wood Badge course SR-655, served as a Troop Guide in course SR-831, as Scribe for SR-948, and Assistant Scoutmaster for Program, S6-556-11-1.
